Low Jack has imposed himself by his singularity; a foot into clubbing, the other into abstract experimentation. His influences ? On the heads side : Bunker Records’ acid-industrial years, Pan Sonic’s sinusoidal blasts, Cristian Vogel’s off set techno, George Issakidis’ esoteric and salacious groove, Dance Mania’s ghetto house, East Coast’s hip-hop and all the funk leftovers. On the tails side : Tough noise, ethnical-shamanic trance, free-funk improvisation, post-industrial ambient, drone music or power electronics. But certainly not this plain, a bit coarse music he sometimes plays in his sets but which he’s unable to produce.
