Based in Paris and led by electronic music producer and composer Chloé Thévenin, Lumière Noire is an entity that has cultivated ambivalence since its creation in 2017.
It positions itself sometimes as a pioneering label offering artists from various universes a space for tracks that leave no one indifferent, sometimes as a travelling club offering parties that change venues but whose programming remains invariably demanding.
If there is a common thread that unites its projects, it is an aesthetic that the head of Lumière Noire defines in these terms: "An art of the side step". The entity defends a certain idea of electronic music, always including a little something that deviates from the highway of jerky rhythms. A slight dissonance, a slightly disturbing atmosphere, or an iridescent melody that filters like a moonbeam through a dark sound.

“the idea is to take the time to work on a 12” the way we would on a full album, to be a vector between the artists so that they can collaborate together and remix each other’s work, to come up with a visual identity. The club events will be like our club house, where our artists come together to share the Lumière Noire world with our audience.”
